At Casa Fuzetta we welcome one and all.
Our dedicated and experienced house team have welcomed more than 225 retreats since we opened in 2017, so we are quietly confident we can support you in creating an exceptional retreat.

I’m afraid there is one exception - we can’t welcome plant medicine, ayahuasca or psilocybin retreats.
WHEN is the best time TO COME?
This is one of the questions we are most regularly asked. The short answer is that we welcome retreats throughout the year and wintertime is one of our favourite times.
GROUP SIZES?
Typically, retreat group sizes are between 12-20 guests (inc retreat team) and the prices for the cooler seasons reflect the likelihood of and recommendation of smaller groups.

EQUIPMENT - FOR YOGA, PILATES & BARRE
To avoid guests or teachers having to transport equipment over to Portugal, we have invested in the following equipment.
There is enough for x22 guests.
Yoga mats [for indoor and outdoor practice - one set lives next to our rooftop terrace and the other is downstairs or can be placed in guest rooms for personal practice]

As we know how popular Pilates & Barre classes have become, we have also invested in 2 sets of 4m freestanding barres (in two 2m parts)
The barres can be set up on our rooftop or in the entrance hall. (Below, just one set is shown.)
On the rooftop, there is capacity for x16 at the Barre.
In the entrance hall, x12.

Wellness offerings
The energy at Casa Fuzetta is one of the factors that makes it exceptional, and after welcoming more than 4,500 guests, you really can feel why so many talk about the “love in the walls”.
The sanctuary / meditation space is the heart of the house - both physically and spiritually. We consider it a sacred space, and invite you to work with it that way too.
It is ideal for sharing circles, meditation, breathwork, private yoga practice, tarot or crystal readings and creating mandalas. When groups are small, we also use it as our space for sound baths and sound weaving.

TREATMENTS
We have a close and collaborative relationship with LA-EVA (creators of scentscapes and units of wellbeing).
Our local therapists were the first in the world to be trained to offer La-Eva’s signature body treatments, which are now are offered at Claridge’s and the Savoy.

Creative Retreats
Writing Retreats
We have welcomed multiple authors to Casa Fuzetta, including for several writing retreats led by Jacq Burns - founder of the London Writers’ Club.
At the house, we have many places to curl up with a good book, quiet spaces to get away and a beautiful library for inspiration.
The Creative Spirit of Olhão
Olhão humms with the creative spirit of its community of artists, artisans, stylists, chefs and designers.
Sitting in the heart of Olhao’s old town, Casa Fuzetta enjoys a commanding view of the cubist rooftops and out to the Ria Formosa.
The house and the town provide inspiration at every corner for urban sketching.
We are happy to introduce you to our favourite local watercolour teacher, specialising in adult beginners.
We are also delighted that in 2027 we welcome home the team at Art of Life Creative Retreats for two more of their sell-out creative retreats. Here is a glimpse of their first one with us in May ‘26
