Tara (owner) of Casa Fuzetta will host her seventh Heal the Healers retreat - a time when she invites those who spend the year looking after others to enjoy a few days in Olhao being looked after instead.

The intention is that the retreat will be limited to a small group of guests, anticipated to be no more than twelve, enabling the majority to have their own room. 

[Please consider “healer” as a broad term to include yoga teachers, psychotherapists, massage therapists and retreat chefs.]

Building on four successful seasons of February Workations, Tara Donovan, co-owner of Casa Fuzetta, invites other venue owners to join her for a Workation dedicated to the business of retreats and more importantly to building a community of owners open to sharing insights, testing ideas and working through challenges. 

Tara will happily share how she has built Casa Fuzetta into a leading retreat venue - from a standing start of no knowledge of the hospitality industry, no knowledge of Portugal, no contacts within the wellness industry and zero personal social media presence. 

The intention is to keep this Workation to a small group, anticipated to be no more than twelve,  enabling each guest to have their own room and meaningful time together. 

On the basis that the lived experience is the best teacher, Tara proposes a programme that balances sharing some of the experiences offered to retreat guests with more structured round table discussions.

By popular demand, following four popular seasons of Workations, we plan to offer a longer season of Workations in 2027.

We will invite single room bookings for Workations at Casa Fuzetta between 18 January and 24 February 2027

If you have stayed with us before, you probably already know that the Algarve is lucky to boast 300 days of sunshine per year, fast, reliable broadband and mobile services and year round flights to and from Faro international airport.

Generally, this should mean goodbye cold grey skies of the North and hello to working under blue skies - with the opportunity to enjoy lunches outside by the waterfront and a variety of activities (foodie, cultural and/or sporting) close to hand when you fancy a change in pace or setting. Of course, 2026’s exceptional storms mean there can be no guarantees - yet we still had a wonderful time!

As with our approach to retreats, the intention is to create a sense of community amongst those staying at the house, and with the wider community in and around Olhao.

One of the best things about Workations are the vibrant, stimulating, creative and supportive discussions that build and grow between guests at the house and then on into the future.

We ask for a minimum 7 night booking, with prices including breakfasts every day except Saturday and three communal dinners each week and generous discounts available for extra nights and/or if you would like a friend or partner to join you for some or all of your stay.
