VOLUNTEERING & fundraising

There are some wonderful local projects that would welcome your support during your stay with us.. 

Specifically, for those interested in getting back to NATURE, there is the opportunity to help with planting and regenerating the biodiversity of a beautiful rural property; aptly named “the Golden Web”, it is a short drive away from us, near the coastal town of Fuseta. 

If NUTRITION and getting involved in the kitchen is of more interest, we support ReFood Faro who gather excess produce from local hotels and properties like ours, to create and distribute meals to those in need. 

On the ENVIRONMENTAL side of things, the local community often organises a big beach clean up [although throughout the Algarve the beaches all have blue flag status]. You may also have noticed that in late 2019 we were welcomed as members of the TREESISTERS tribe. As of April’22 we have raised our commitment to support them with donations to fund the planting of 100 tree for every group that stays with us. As of October 2023 (and the 10th anniversary of our first visit to Portugal), our donations have been sufficient for the planting of 10,000 trees. Of course, we would like you to join us in increasing the support we can offer them both financially and in spreading the word of the incredible work they are doing with female empowered planting projects around the world.
